In a survey of 1,000 people on the topic of love languages and relationships, it was found that for couples with a conflict, one person’s love language is not always understood by their partner. In the article “The Five Love Languages,” Dr. Gary Chapman discusses how there are five different ways in which we show and receive love. These five different languages include words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch.
Most people have a love language that helps them know how they should be loved. Learning your spouse’s love language will help you better understand what type of love your partner needs from you.
